Older suburbs, mature trees, a lot of gutter
The Dayton area neighborhoods we work in are established ones. Kettering and Oakwood in particular are older, heavily treed suburbs where the canopy has had decades to grow over the rooflines, and Dayton's own older neighborhoods are the same.
That is why gutters are fourteen of our twenty-four jobs up here, far more lopsided than our work closer to Cincinnati. Mature trees over an older roof fill gutters faster and pack them tighter, and a lot of these are original systems on original fascia.
It also means the timing question matters more. Cleaning in early October, while the leaves still look impressive on the lawn, usually means doing it again in December once the oaks finally let go. Late November is the window that actually holds.
